<p class="ql-block"><b style="font-size:22px;">我在緣起走馬塘（1）曾發(fā)過一張照片，顯示我家附近東西走向的走馬塘和另一條河流垂直相交，這條河流的名字叫西泗塘。</b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="font-size:22px;">（在試做雙語篇，慢慢完成will </b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="font-size:22px;">take time for me to translate Chinese into English ）</b></p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">I posted a photo In the first piece of my series of writings </p><p class="ql-block"> Zoumatang (1), showing how </p><p class="ql-block">Zoumatang waterway , which runs </p><p class="ql-block">east-west near my home, intersects with another waterway called </p><p class="ql-block">Xisitang.</p><p class="ql-block">The following photo is a public notice </p><p class="ql-block">board for Xisitang . </p><p class="ql-block">Unfortunately the water </p><p class="ql-block">management project for this </p><p class="ql-block">waterway which has been going for quite </p><p class="ql-block">some time remains uncompleted.</p><p class="ql-block">The name of the river caretaker for </p><p class="ql-block"> XisiTang is not indicated on the </p><p class="ql-block">board as the board is black, not </p><p class="ql-block">working today .</p> <p class="ql-block">這里的俞涇浦表示這條水道的名字叫俞涇浦。一說南北向的水道換作鋪。鋪，塘和港都是水道的稱呼。</p><p class="ql-block">俞涇浦, the three Chinese characters</p><p class="ql-block"> in the photo, indicates that this </p><p class="ql-block">waterway is pronounced YuJing Pu. </p><p class="ql-block">It is said that a north-south oriented </p><p class="ql-block">waterway is referred to as a 浦"pù" </p><p class="ql-block">(pavement). Either 浦"pù" or 塘"táng" (pond) or 港 "gǎng" (harbor) is a term used to describe a waterway.</p> <p class="ql-block"><b style="font-size:20px;">這是西泗塘河長公示牌。但這條河在這里的水利工程做了不少時間沒有完成。</b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="font-size:20px;">西泗塘的河長不知是誰。</b></p> <p class="ql-block"><b style="font-size:20px;">根據(jù)百度介紹，西泗塘從北往南流，其后半段接續(xù)俞涇浦。俞涇浦一路曲折前行，最終匯入虹口港之前經(jīng)過橫浜橋。我在緣起走馬塘（5）探索虹口港就從橫浜橋開始。參見下圖可知。</b></p><p class="ql-block">According to Baidu,the major search tool of China , Xisitang flows from </p><p class="ql-block">north to south, and the second </p><p class="ql-block">section of the waterway changes its name </p><p class="ql-block">to Yujing Pu. Yujing Pu runs through a series of twists and turns, and</p><p class="ql-block">passes through the Hengbang Bridge before it empties into the Hongkou </p><p class="ql-block">Port. </p><p class="ql-block">It is just from the Hengbang Bridge </p><p class="ql-block">that I started to explore the harbor of Hongkou on my journey as described</p><p class="ql-block">in Zoumatang (5). </p><p class="ql-block">The Hangbang Bridge is showed </p><p class="ql-block">in the following picture.</p> <p class="ql-block">從橫浜橋往西所見</p><p class="ql-block">A eastward view obtained from the </p><p class="ql-block">Hendbang Bridge .</p> <p class="ql-block">從以上介紹可見，假如我從我家附近的西泗塘出發(fā)沿河南下，如果沿途的河流水道只要一側(cè)有人行步道，我估計我就有可能沿河走一個半小時左右的時間走到橫浜橋。</p><p class="ql-block">我搬遷到我這里的小家有16年了，因為沒有實際事務(wù)上的需要，我從來沒有嘗試過走這好像是偏僻的路。最近因為走馬塘之緣，我走興大發(fā)，好奇性劇增，今天決心走一次一見分曉。</p><p class="ql-block">The Information obtained online tells me that if I start to walk from Xisitang near my home and proceed </p><p class="ql-block">downstream along the river, it is likely that I could walk along the riverbank </p><p class="ql-block">for approximately an hour and a half before I reach the Hengbang Bridge, </p><p class="ql-block">assuming that there is a pedestrian </p><p class="ql-block">walkway on either side of the river </p><p class="ql-block">channels along the way.</p><p class="ql-block">It has been 16 years since I moved </p><p class="ql-block">into my small home here. Since there was no practical need for it, I had </p><p class="ql-block">never attempted to take this </p><p class="ql-block">seemingly remote route. Recently, </p><p class="ql-block">due to a chance encounter with </p><p class="ql-block">Zoumatang, my wanderlust was </p><p class="ql-block">piqued, and my curiosity surged. </p><p class="ql-block">Today, I decide to take this route to</p><p class="ql-block"> find out if it is possible for me to </p><p class="ql-block">reach the Hengbang Bridge </p><p class="ql-block">beginning from a walk near my </p><p class="ql-block">home.</p> <p class="ql-block">上午 9點(diǎn)多鐘我從家附近的一條神秘小路開走了。</p><p class="ql-block">天氣有霧。</p><p class="ql-block">At about 9 clock in the morning I </p><p class="ql-block">started to walk towards a mysterious alley near my home .</p><p class="ql-block">It was foggy.</p> <p class="ql-block">這條胡同有五個灣，看起來都像死胡同，我近年來才發(fā)現(xiàn)這條彎彎曲曲可以走得通的神秘胡同。</p><p class="ql-block">這是第一彎道。</p><p class="ql-block">This alley has five bends, all of which appear to be dead ends. It somewhat </p><p class="ql-block">lacks confidence and the conditions </p><p class="ql-block">to be well-maintained.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p> <p class="ql-block">水不干凈則會讓好事變壞事。變成負(fù)擔(dān)。但說得容易做起來難。要有銀子才能辦事，但銀子不能撒在不需要撒的地方。</p><p class="ql-block">A waterway if it is not clean will turn a good thing into a bad one and </p><p class="ql-block">become a burden. However, it is </p><p class="ql-block">easier said than done. I took photos first, so that I could do some research and reflection after I got home.</p> <p class="ql-block">水流到此拐彎，一時我找不到水流往前流到哪里去了，我有點(diǎn)發(fā)愁。</p><p class="ql-block">拍此照是為了留住路名，現(xiàn)在放大了看。</p><p class="ql-block">The water disappeared here, and I </p><p class="ql-block">could find where the water flow for a while. I still had some doubts whether I could finally reach the Hengbang </p><p class="ql-block">bridge.</p> <p class="ql-block">又走上海倫西路</p><p class="ql-block">Got on to Helen West Road.</p> <p class="ql-block">這里的步行道是綠色的</p><p class="ql-block">The footpath here looks green.</p> <p class="ql-block">這里這座跨河的木橋我看起來似乎面熟</p><p class="ql-block">This wooden bridge across the river </p><p class="ql-block">looks familiar to me.</p> <p class="ql-block">再往前走</p><p class="ql-block">kept on going.</p> <p class="ql-block">眼前出現(xiàn)的居然就是我今天要尋找的最終目標(biāo)橫浜橋，好像覺得又有點(diǎn)得來不費(fèi)太大功夫。</p><p class="ql-block">初心實現(xiàn)了，好不喜歡。</p><p class="ql-block">今天我走過的每一條路，每一座橋，對我來說都是第一次。第一次就是嘗新，好不高興難忘。目標(biāo)達(dá)到了，也很滿足。</p><p class="ql-block">To my surprise, the final destination I was seeking, the Hengbang Bridge, </p><p class="ql-block">was right in front of me. It seemed </p><p class="ql-block">like reaching it wouldn't require too </p><p class="ql-block">much effort.</p><p class="ql-block">The initial goal has been achieved,</p><p class="ql-block">That is really something I </p><p class="ql-block">particularly enjoy.</p><p class="ql-block">Every path I walked and every bridge I crossed felt like the first time</p><p class="ql-block"> for me. The first time always brings a sense of novelty, which is quite </p><p class="ql-block">exciting and unforgettable. </p><p class="ql-block">Having achieved the goal, I feel </p><p class="ql-block">content as well.</p> <p class="ql-block">四川北路</p><p class="ql-block">North Sichuan Road</p> <p class="ql-block">我在這里坐21路公交回家。21路是我超世紀(jì)的老朋友。</p><p class="ql-block">I took at this spot the bus No. 1 to go back Home.</p><p class="ql-block">Bus No. 1 is an old friend for me over a century .</p> <p class="ql-block">老百姓的大餅油條店</p><p class="ql-block">但是今天我肚子一點(diǎn)不餓，一路上也沒喝水放水。早餐我吃得飽。</p><p class="ql-block">A popular bakery serving big </p><p class="ql-block">pancakes and deep-fried dough </p><p class="ql-block">sticks.</p><p class="ql-block">However, today at this time I did not </p><p class="ql-block">feel hungry </p><p class="ql-block">at all, and I didn't drink any water or make any water along the way. I</p><p class="ql-block">had had a satisfying breakfast home .</p> <p class="ql-block">Took the no.21 bus. The day (November 1, 2025), it took me more than </p><p class="ql-block">three hours to see the water and the bridge on this hiking trip. I walked </p><p class="ql-block">18,205 steps in that day . I saw about 50 bridges.</p> <p class="ql-block">從緣起走馬塘（1）至（6），我一共走了50座橋，90%都在上海虹口區(qū)范圍內(nèi)，個別橋和虹口區(qū)相臨。</p><p class="ql-block">From my journey starting at Zouma </p><p class="ql-block">Tang (1) to (6), I crossed a total of 50 bridges, with 90% of them located </p><p class="ql-block">within the jurisdiction of Hongkou </p><p class="ql-block">District, Shanghai. A few of the </p><p class="ql-block">bridges are adjacent to Hongkou District.</p> <p class="ql-block">Names of the bridges shown by my </p><p class="ql-block">writing in Chinese .</p> <p class="ql-block">下一趟要去尋找走馬塘的起始處上海南翔古鎮(zhèn)。</p><p class="ql-block">The next leg of my journey shall focus on my exploring the starting point of the Zouma Tang, which is situated in the historic town of Nanxiang in </p><p class="ql-block">Shanghai.</p>
