<p class="ql-block">  今天的英文課上,志愿者老師給我們講了“家譜”,西方人說是“家庭樹”。東西方差別很大,但西方人的“家庭樹”和我們中國人的“家譜”卻是非常一樣的。</p> <p class="ql-block">  今天的課程非常有特色,課堂氣氛活躍起來了。大家從家庭,親戚,朋友的稱謂談到了家譜,真沒想到,幾個外國人竟然齊刷刷地打開了手機,給我們看他們的family tree(家譜),我們都驚呆了,哦,原來西人也有家譜??!可是,我們的家譜卻在“文革”中遺失了……。</p> <p class="ql-block">  今天的課,喚起了我的回憶,也想起了多年前寫的文章。正巧,西人老師也想了解中國人的文化,歷史。于是有了這個小文。</p> <p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block"><b>《家譜》——懷念父親的一篇小文</b></p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block"><b>1. I imagined a towering ancient tree—roots gripping history, trunk weathered by time, and branches spreading into uncountable lives. Somewhere among them, perhaps, was my tiny leaf.</p><p class="ql-block"> 父親說我們的始祖是明朝名將何騰蛟,祖籍在貴州黎平。我仿佛看到一棵古老參天的大樹——粗壯的樹干,繁茂的枝椏,——我大概只是那上面新生的葉子之一。</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block"><b>2. Childhood and Clan</b></p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block"><b>二、童年里的本家與親情</b></p><p class="ql-block"> My father often reminded my older brother:</p><p class="ql-block">“Never forget who you come from. A family survives when its branches stay connected.”</p><p class="ql-block"> 父親常對哥哥說:“不能忘本,何家人要常來常往?!?lt;/p><p class="ql-block">?</p><p class="ql-block"> Two clan families lived near us in Beijing. In FangjiaHutong lived two doctor brothers, whose courtyard became part of my childhood world. A thought stirred in me:</p><p class="ql-block">I should return to Liping. I should seek our roots.</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block"> 多年以后,我得知何騰蛟的墓與故居成了省級文物保護。我心里忽然升起一個愿望:應該回到黎平,去尋根問祖。</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">I also wish to find my childhood playmate, the doctor’s daughter.
