<p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:18px;">《the highlight of the party》</span></p><p class="ql-block">Sydney's weather today was sunny, with a southerly wind at 30 km/h and a high of 20 degrees on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. </p><p class="ql-block"><span style="color:rgb(57, 181, 74);">I had a wonderful party at Phil's home with my two best friends, Kim and Sue. It took the three of us just 10 minutes to drive from Leumeah to Phil's house in Minto.</span></p><p class="ql-block">At first, the four of us sat closely together on the lounge and watched an Australian movie called Mountain.</p><p class="ql-block">Phil prepared an Aussie barbecue with sausages and the most tender beef called rib-eye, along with cooked mushrooms, onions, and tomatoes. We had three kinds of salad and bread: lentil tabbouleh, coleslaw, and a simple Western salad. </p><p class="ql-block">For dessert, we enjoyed strawberries and blueberries with New Zealand ice cream, which is the best ice cream in the world.</p><p class="ql-block"><span style="color:rgb(21, 100, 250);">I've been coughing for two months, and during that time, I haven't eaten well. Today, the food really nourished my body, and I thank you, Phil, for feeding me so well! </span></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="color:rgb(21, 100, 250);">The three of them ate faster than I did, quietly watching me enjoy the food</span>. </p><p class="ql-block">I asked Phil, "Why are you eating so fast?" </p><p class="ql-block">He replied, "I come from a big family; you have to eat fast, so I got used to it."</p><p class="ql-block">Time flew by, and now the time has come for us to say goodbye. It had been a long time since I had been so close to others, body to body, and I couldn't even remember the last time I had that type of experience. </p><p class="ql-block">It was wonderful for us to share one red <span style="color:rgb(176, 79, 187);">quilt</span> over our legs, especially since the temperature was 18 degrees with a cool breeze providing cross ventilation in the house. The air was fresh, and we were warm together. The movie had us screaming aloud, and we had to hold hands to support each other during the scary moments.
